In Tuesday’s post I mentioned that two of the sweaters could be worn for multiple outfits throughout the day. Today I wanted to show you two potential outfits that can be worn the same day that include the same sweater: one for work and the other for a night out with friends.
I’ve used a new sweater I found that looks deliciously comfortable and would be perfect for the colder Fall and Winter weather yet to come. The sweater is from a UK based company called Navabi; however, it only goes up to a size UK 24/US 22. For those with a bit more curves there are some comparable sweaters in the same color from Lands’End and Old Navy Plus, with sizes ranging from 1X-3X (16/18 – 24/26) at Lands’End and 1X-4X (16/18-28/30) at Old Navy Plus.
For this first outfit I arranged the sweater with items that would be great for a beautiful work outfit. The button-up blouse and trousers are also from Navabi so you may need to find similar items in your size from a US based company such as Maurices, Lands’End, Old Navy Plus, or Torrid.
That bib necklace is just so adorable on this outfit and works well with the collar and rounded neckline of the pink blouse and sweater.
It’s the end of your work day and you are just about to swap your work clothes for some PJs and a big glass of wine when your phone starts to ring. A friend from out of town is visiting and wants to meet you for dinner. Instead of trying to find a brand new outfit, just grab the sweater you wore to work, pair it with your most comfortable pair of jeans and flats (after heels all day your feet need a break!), and you are ready to go.
The scarf and earrings adds a nice pop of color against the cream of the sweater and definitely add a touch of Fall to the outfit.
If you want to continue the pink theme from your work outfit try this pink infinity scarf from Gap or this adorable heart print shawl from Newchic that would add a touch of whimsy to your outfit. If you wore cream or black flats to work just throw those back on and you won’t need to worry about finding matching shoes!
Hopefully this has provided you with some helpful tips in crafting two same-day outfits featuring the same item. My next blog post will look a few Fall fashion boot trends: from knee-high to ankle to velvet (yes velvet)!
